TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please read the Terms & Conditions below. A booking is only confirmed once the 20% non-refundable booking fee has been received and the client agrees to the terms set out.

Booking & Securing Your Date

• A 20% non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your wedding date.

• This fee is deducted from your final balance.

• Dates cannot be held without the booking fee.

• Trials are not included in the booking fee and are paid separately.

• By paying the booking fee, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Trials

• Trials take place at my home studio in Manchester (M38).

• Trials last up to 2 hours.

• Pleasee arrive with clean, dry hair and bring inspiration photos.

• After your trial, you will receive photos & advice, and you can provide feedback on longevity.

• Additional looks can be booked for an extra fee.

3. On the Wedding Day

• I will arrive 15 minutes early to set up.

• Please ensure there is:

– A plug socket

– A clear table for tools

– Adequate lighting

• Hair must be clean and fully dry before styling.

• Delays caused by late bridal party members may impact timing and cannot be extended.

4. Payments

• The final balance (minus your 20% booking fee) is due 1 month before the wedding.

• Bookings made within 1 month of the wedding must be paid in full at the time of booking.

• Cash payments are not accepted unless discussed in advance.

5. Booking changes

• Reducing the number of services after booking does not reduce the final total.

• Additional services may be added if the schedule allows.

• All changes must be requested in writing.

6. Date Changes

• Changing your wedding date is treated as a cancellation, as your original date has been reserved exclusively.

• A new date may be offered if available, but a new 20% booking fee will be required.

• If I am unavailable on your new date, the original booking fee remains non-refundable.

  • 7. Cancellations (by you)

• Cancelling at any time results in loss of the 20% booking fee.

• If you cancel within 12 weeks of the wedding, the full remaining balance becomes payable.

• Add-on services cancelled within 12 weeks must also be paid in full.

8. Cancellations (by me)

If I am unable to attend due to illness, injury, or emergency:

• I will source a replacement stylist where possible.

• If no suitable replacement is available, you will receive a full refund of all monies paid (excluding the completed trial).

9. Exclusivity

• Exclusivity is not guaranteed unless discussed.

• Large bridal parties may require an additional stylist.

• Bookings of 7+ services may incur an assistant fee.

10. Travel Expenses

• Travel is charged at £1 per mile from M38 (first 10 miles free).

• Parking, tolls, and hotel costs (if needed) must be covered by the client.

• Journeys over 3 hours may require overnight accommodation.

11. Client Responsibility

• Please inform me of allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions.

• I cannot be held responsible for reactions or issues if this information is not disclosed.

• I reserve the right to refuse service if conditions are unsafe or unsuitable.

12. Photography & Privacy

• You agree that hair styling photos taken during the trial or wedding may be used for LU Hair Design’s portfolio, website, or social media unless you request otherwise in writing.

• Personal information is stored securely and never shared with third parties.

13. Data Protection

• Your details are stored securely for communication and administrative purposes.

• Records are kept for 6 years as required by HMRC.

14. Force Majeure

Events outside of my control (severe weather, emergency, travel disruptions, etc.) will be managed fairly, with communication as a priority.
